Observarán que con hipocresía típica se habla de indemnizaciones pues se trata de "expropiación forzosa".( Art. 7 Ley 890 y 5 de la Ley 891) Todo lo cual le complica la vida al pretendido continuismo castrista que confiscó aunque dijo expropiar. No es lo mismo porque expropiar implica pago y sistema para hacerlo incluyendo la fijación de valores. Pero en aquella época no se atrevían a lanzarse por la "calle del medio." Y dejaron pendiente su 'ley' para fijar los montos. No son competentes ni para robar.

ENCUESTA SOBRE SANCIONES A CASTRO. MIAMI HERALD. Recordar! Una de las tácticas de la desinformación es decirnos 'como pensamos' y convencernos de que 'las cosas han cambiado.' Esta encuesta tan valiosa da un rotundo nmentís a esa campaña y demuestra que los que han sufrido el socialismo no lo quieren de ninguna forma.
El 83.9 por ciento de los entrevistados respalda el mantenimiento del embargo, incluyendo por igual a nacidos en Estados Unidos, a quienes oscilan entre las edades de 18-39 años e, incluso, a un 67 % de los cubanoamericanos registrados como demócratas.• El 85.9 % apoya mantener las restricciones de viajes a Cuba.• Sólo una ínfima minoría aboga por levantar las sanciones al régimen comunista (4.9 %) o negociar con Fidel Castro (3.1 %).• El 92.2 % favorece reforzar las medidas contra el gobierno cubano, ya sea mediante una mayor apoyo al movimiento de oposición interna, la efectividad de las señales de Radio y TV Martí, o cualquier otra vía que posibilite el restablecimiento de la democracia en Cuba, sin descartar una operación militar para derrocar a Castro.• El 45.5 % de los cubanos menores de 40 años son partidarios de una acción militar para destronar al sistema totalitario en la isla.

Our statistics on Cuban trade for the period 1994 through 1999 are drawn primarily from data provided by Havana’s partners. Partner trade data generally include shipping costs in Cuba’s exports but not its imports, the reverse of normal practice.
The 2000 handbook contains the most recent full-year data available from Cuba's trade partners. The first section-Direction and Composition of Trade-includes breakdowns of Cuba's total trade by country and commodity. In the first five tables, we have estimated Cuba's trade totals in dollars by aggregating partner statistics. In some cases, Cuba’s key trade partners are included in the “Other” category rather than listed separately because partner trade data are not available. The export tonnages for sugar and nickel shown in the sixth and seventh tables are those Havana has reported to commodity trade organizations. The second section of the handbook-Composition of Bilateral Trade-provides commodity breakdowns for bilateral trade from the official data of 39 countries or regions. With more complete data, we have revised some figures for 1994-98 that appeared in our previous editions.
For brevity, we have omitted country tables in which total exports or imports are less than $10 million for all years during the period 1994-99; editions of the Handbook through 1996 omitted tables in which total exports or imports were less than $5 million for the preceding five-year period. In addition, exports or imports of commodities valued at less than $500,000 in all years during the same time frame have also been excluded. Components may not always add to the totals shown because of rounding
